Talim Tash

Талим ТашAt the foot of the rock wreath of Yurushki Rocks, at a sharp left turn of the asphalt road you will see huge boulders as if randomly scattered, covered in moss and forgotten by time. To get there, climb the highest point of Kotlenski pass and then continue further down its northern side for 1 km. The place is named Talim Tash (Turkish: soldier stone); here Turkish troops had their military and training cams. Historians related the place to the Sun God cult of the Thracians, which is evidenced by the sacrificial altars of various depth carved in the limestone. Probably Talim Tash is a part of a much larger ancient cult complex. The locality was inhabited in the Middle Ages as well, there were also Roman fortifications here.
